0Courtney Hogwood is Chief Compliance Officer of Pomo One Marketing, a sovereign enterprise of the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake, a federally recognized Indian Nation. As CCO, she is responsible for the creation and monitoring of a robust Compliance Management System to ensure that ArrowShade and its affiliated entities are compliant with applicable law, rules and regulations.
Hogwood joined ArrowShade from LeadFlash, one of the industry’s largest lead providers, where she served as the Manager of Regulatory Compliance. During her time at LeadFlash, she was responsible for continued education and analysis of applicable regulatory standards, including Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Advertising Practices (UDAAP), Use of Personal Identifying Information (PII), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations, CAN-SPAM and the Graham Leach Bliley Act. She also developed and maintained processes and procedures for monitoring compliance with both federal and state legislation relating to publisher website promotional materials, terms, disclosures and privacy policies, as well as lender terms and agreements.
Prior to her work in the compliance field, she worked in the private sector, providing legal representation in the areas of commercial law, personal injury law and family law. She also has experience in criminal defense work, as she worked for the United States Navy in the Legal Service Office, specializing in preparation for administrative processing boards and court martial proceedings.
Hogwood holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Corporate Compliance from the Charlotte School of Law and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
